Alison

President & Artistic Director

I have practiced dance for 20 years and hold a Connecticut Dance Certificate. Dance make my life more complete since I find a piece of myself that lost on my busy life journey .  Stage light leads me to the wonderland. With body language , I communicate  Chinese  performing art with people whom I can reach.

To me, dance is not only a beautiful form of art, but also a personal challenge to start in my mid-40s. Four years ago, I joined Alison's dance team, where I met many remarkable women dancers and we found a world of our own. I feel very lucky to be on this journey of dancing older with my friends!

I like to dance because I felt happy, alive and connected with people. I danced in spare time for almost 10 years.

I have been learning Chinese dance for 5-6 years.  This is something I always wanted to do since I was a young girl but did not have the chance or time until now. In my view,  a dancer is an artist who uses own body movements to convey a music story visually, sentence by sentence. Dance is also a sport that requires fine coordinations of the entire body; a social activity that forms the friendships of similar interest people and a team work that demands efforts from each member.  I really enjoy my dance experiences.

Growing up I have always wanted to learn to dance, but never had the opportunity until I joined Alison’s dance group in 2017. Dancing with a group of amazing women and good friends has been an enlightening experience in which I find joy and energy.

I have been learning dancing for two years at Alison Wang’s Dancing group. I am inspired by Alison’s passion of dancing. Using body language to express the feelings is so special. I enjoyed so much to complete a group dance with a great team.

I have been learning dance for over 10 years. Dance’s greatest impact on my life is that it has helped me find and make friends with similar interests and who can work together to pursue similar goals. I love the atmosphere of teamwork which dance can give me and I’m very happy to be on this team.

As a kid, I always loved to dance. Decades later, I felt very lucky to join Alison's dance group. It has been a joyful journey in the past four years to practice and perform on stage with a team of amazing women and friends!

I’ve liked to dance since I was young and I continued dancing when I moved to CT in 2008. Dance makes me feel happier, healthier, and younger, but the best part of dance is making more friends.

I started learning to dance 4 years ago when I joined Alison’s dance group. I dance because it is the most fun way to exercise, it challenges the body and the mind. I dance also to be a part of the sisterhood of a great team!

I joined Alison’s dance group about 2 years ago. Since then it’s been a great experience dancing with an incredible teacher and a group of amazing women. To me, dancing is not only an exercise, but also a discovery of my own body and a deeper connection to friends. It’s fun!
